Hello, I am Lottie.

Hello, my name is Lottie, and I am a birth and postnatal doula, 3 Step Rewind Practitioner and registered nurse. I am a mum, step-mum, nanna, wife, daughter, sister, friend. I have been a lone parent until our family blended, and 3 became 6! I lived in many places, including South America, but came to Sheffield to nurse, and settled here when I met my late husband. I enjoy walks with our family dog in the Peak District, I love cooking, and spending time with family.

I am a volunteer with a telephone bereavement service, and I also help run a women’s faith-based support group once a fortnight. I volunteer with Doulas Without Borders, a charity offering accessible birth support to women and birthing people facing disadvantage and financial hardship. I have had a passion for supporting families for many years, but after a trip to Tanzania in 2018, to some of the most rural areas of the country, I was challenged to look at my working life as a nurse and make some changes. In 2019 my 1st beautiful granddaughter was born; I had a desire to support my daughter, and her family, and empower them so they believed in themselves, in ways textbooks or websites just can’t.

So began my personal journey of change in 2021.

I left my permanent nursing position and embarked on a new venture - training as a birth and postnatal doula.

I’m sure that some of my life experiences, and formal training, will help me to support you emotionally, practically and give you the information needed, as you embark on your parenting journey.
